What a week! Rained out HARD on day one and a few too many hours in the blistering sun for this vampiric night owl. Overall, despite the elements, the Traveling Arts Market vendors and I had a great time and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful crowd! On July 9th, Arts Market and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary, I am proud to be the last remaining original vendor! I have been part of the Leslieville location since the very first day and we have grown together over the years. I'm not sure what I would be doing right now if I hadn't joined Arts Market and started up this treasuring/jewelstress business, but I am happy life lead me here! Thank you so much to all my amazing customers, to Daniel Cohen for creating Arts Market, my supportive and encouraging friends and a special loving thank you to my mom for all her support and additional treasure hunting outside Toronto!
I am very excited to announce that from July 7th -12th I will be set up as part of the Fringe Clubs Visual Fringe market with tons of new pieces behind the Honest Ed's famous marquee at 581 Bloor St.! I will have plenty of new pieces with me, including; my full line of resin watch part cufflinks, earrings and pendants and so much more. There is plenty to do at Fringe Club as there are a variety of vendors, food, performances, buskers and so much more! Some sneak peek photos of my new pieces are coming soon, stay tuned!
I'm so charmed to be featured in the new Kickin' Ass and Takin' Names series Fat Girl Food Squad recently launched! Read about how I got into making jewelry, thoughts, experiences and advice on being a self employed lady, my desire to be Catwoman and other inspirations! FGFS, a wonderful team of ladies have a range of contributors throughout cities in Canada and the United States. They offer a unique array of body positive, health conscious and community affirming info and interviews - not to mention all the recipes and restaurant reviews!
Morgan had a chat at the TIFF Bell Lightbox with Elsie and myself about the Stanley Kubrick Exhibition and my Kubrick inspired jewelry collection!
I must say I consider it a huge honour to see my face intermittently between clips of Stanley's films!
The exhibition closes Jan 25th, don't miss it!!!!
