Brief Rest in Restoule
Roughly 4 hours north of Toronto there is a place called Restoule. It is a place where you can swim in a private lake, a place, where nobody is anywhere around. I only spent one evening here, and had to try and rush the relaxation vibe, but overall I think it is undeniably refreshing for any amount of time. Took a few minutes to do a quick watercolour of the view from the (thankfully screened in, bug free) deck.

Hand Painted Sign for Acadia Books!
I've been working very hard freshening things up lately at Acadia Books, my favourite local bookstore! My latest project there was designing and painting their sandwich board. Of course I had to use the adored store cat and mascot, Michou as my inspiration! Using her and some fancy gold leaf paint, this is what I came up with, and I am very happy with it!
Acadia Books is now on instagram! Follow us for inspiring posts featuring art, prints, books and of course the adventures of Michou! Or better yet visit the shop for art books, rare books, postcards maps and other ephemera!

ATOMIC ENID
Still inspired by meeting Daniel Clowes, I decided my apartment needed a large Enid painting.
I had lots of fun painting the atomic background, this one is not for sale <3
Catscapes
Mysterious and colourful, my new Catscape Paintings are available at my shop in the Leslieville Arts Market! Catscapes are inspired by soft and bold colour palettes, each one is a unique landscape with cat spirits emerging from the unknown in the distance. Gestural and free, originally painted to inspire me to be less restrictive with my work, each detail in these paintings have been expressed and imagined on the spot, no planning other than colours.
Daniel Clowes at The Toronto Reference Library
On of the main reasons I have been looking forward to 2016: Daniel Clowes stopped in at the Toronto Reference Library for the very first stop on his Patience book tour! I have been an avid reader and collector of his work for many years, and a diehard fan for just as long, getting an advanced copy of Patience was more exciting than I could ever have imagined!
Daniel was incredibly funny (as expected) and chatty (unexpected), and took the time to chat with all his hardcore fans as he signed our precious books and Enid things!
